Master of Arts in Education major in Education Administration

The program aims to prepare its graduates for school leadership who are equipped with competencies in foundational theories and concepts in educational leadership, management, and administration. The program will develop competencies of its graduates in educational research, strategic planning, and management, educational policy, school finance or financial management, management of curriculum and instruction, and other related fields.

The core courses are essentials for professional practice that will enable the students to develop analytical skills through the basic rigors of research; and hence, empower their leadership driven by data for sound and informed decision-making.

Alongside the core courses, the major courses are grounded in professional practice to enable the graduates to develop skills and competencies as a school administrator or a school head imbued by Ignatian Spirituality in the area of strategic planning and management, school finance or financial management, management of curriculum and instruction, educational policy, and other related fields.

The program enables the graduates as a sui generis to engage meaningfully by connecting the theory and practice in the area of school leadership and management supportive of student achievement and student engagement for national development. The program emphasizes the training of a graduate as a transformational school leader or manager who will be responsible for helping transform the school into an inclusive community with diverse backgrounds and cultures
