Master in Tropical Risk Management
The Master of Tropical Risk Management is a Professional Non-Thesis Track program that aims to provide training to professionals in the collection, analysis, and communication of climate-related issues in Mindanao communities, including governance. The students are trained to use remote sensing and GIS techniques to conduct risk and resource assessments, primarily in Mindanao, to ensure environmental protection and sustainability of the community. The program aims to facilitate the development of a culture that embraces ecological integrity, social justice, gender-, culture-, and rights-based equity, justice and stewardship and can adapt to climate change, primarily in Mindanao, to reduce the vulnerability of the community.
