Master of Science in Social Work (For BSSW Graduates)
The Master of Science in Social Work Academic Track has 6 units of thesis. The program requires 30 units of coursework. It requires students to publish in a reputable and indexed journal, pass a comprehensive exam and requires a thesis. As a final output, student produce a practice-informed research and/or research-informed practice thesis, particularly in the area of wealth creation, sustainable development, indigenous and decolonizing social work, environmental stewardship, peace based on social justice, human rights, common good, disability, Social Work and spirituality and to marginalized sectors such as but not limited to (women, CNSP, elderly, fisherfolks, solo parents, farmers, PDLs, PWUDs, PWDs, LGBTQIA+) and one (1) publication to contribute to the social work body of knowledge and to promote the profession.
